主题: The Holy Grail of Sub-meter Indoor Localization with Low-cost Infrastructure

亚米级低成本室内定位技术的研究

时间:6月1日下午3:00

Abstract:

Despite the fact that people spend majority of their time indoor, indoor positioning systems (IPS) only have limited success due to the lack of pervasive infrastructural support, and the desire to keep user devices as simple as possible. In this talk, we review the state-of-the-art research on indoor localization and indoor position services.

We discuss our past and on-going efforts in Wireless System Research Group in several related problems:

1) Fast data collection for fingerprint based approach,

2) pedestrian dead reckoning with the assistance of unmodified light,

3) asynchronous acoustic ranging based IPS. Finally, we will discuss the potential and challenges in mobile crowdsourced location based services.
